A local favourite motel / restaurant business, the owner approached us to provide a design which ties in both the motel reception and restaurant functions together.

The resulting design maximises the ceiling height in restaurant and provided a more intimate reception area. The existing jarrah timber flooring was given a new life and concrete-look tiles were chosen to continue this language of raw-looking floor.

Metal shelves were designed to provide display areas for owner's collection of pottery and bottles. And, a feature light fitting was created from the restaurant's many old bottles to remind patrons of the history of Kalgoorlie.
